WHAT IS D51 ELEVATE 2017?
A two-day summit designed for maximum collaboration and consultation so participants can elevate thinking and expand horizons for the learners and communities served.
During the summit, participants will follow one strand of learning. The strands for Elevate 2017 are Engage, Equip, Empower, and Elevate(E4) . Below you will find a description of each.

Global thought leader in innovative learning systems, Tom Vander Ark, will be our opening keynote and will share about the future of education and how to become a world class personalized learning system. Virgel Hammonds, returns to deliver a powerful message on transformation to learner centered systems. Virgel will also lead Leadership training over the two days (Elevate Strand).

Understand processes that are foundational for performance based learning such as laying the cultural foundation, growth mindset and how it supports learning, and social and emotional learning emphasizing self-awareness and self-management. Connect foundational approaches to culture, organization, relationships, and interdependence. Professional Team Time Collaborative time for systems to meet, set goals, ask questions, clarify and reflect on the day of learning. Protocols and facilitators will be helpful guides during this part of each day. |
